Delete your Annotated account

Deleting your account permanently removes everything tied to it from our servers: your profile, every annotation and its audio clips, your comments, marks, follows, subscriptions, listening history, and push tokens. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

From the app

Open Settings → Delete account and confirm.

From the web

Sign in and open Settings, then choose Delete account and all data at the bottom of the page and confirm.

Can’t sign in anymore?

Email privacy@bytetalk.ai from the address associated with your account and we’ll delete it for you within 30 days.

Delete some of your data

You can delete individual annotations, bookmarks, and comments without deleting your account. In the app, open Library, find the item, and choose Delete from its ⋯ menu. On the web, open the annotation and use its menu. Deleting an annotation also removes its audio clip from our servers.

For any other specific data — clearing your listening history or subscriptions, for example — email privacy@bytetalk.ai from the address associated with your account and we’ll take care of it within 30 days.
